On the palate this American Oaked Rum Ale has a complex array of flavours. All at once it is malty with a strong vanilla and oak character and a subtle sweet rum overtone that overarches the beer and holds it all together. A truly delicious combination. It has an ABV of 6.5% with a deep ruby red colour and a lovely big creamy (off white) fluffy head. Oak and deep toffee caramel dominate the aroma of this beer along with hints of rum that promise further delights.

This American Oaked Rum Ale melds together the character of a strong American ale with heavily toasted oak barrel and rum to create a triumphantly aromatic and complex beer that suits contemplative drinking studying the myriad of overlaid flavours and aromas.

• Full instructions
• 1 x 3.0Kg pack of malt and hop extracts
• 1 x 1Kg pack of dextrose monohydrate (brewing sugar)
• 1 x 10g sachet of dried brewing yeast
• 1 x 75g pack of American oak chips
• 1 x 80g pack of priming sugar
• Makes approximately 40 Pints (23 Litres)

In order to make this kit you may need:

• Sterilizing powder
• Brewers bucket
• Water
• Syphon
• Hydrometer
• Bottles or Barrel
