This SG Wines (formerly Solomon Grundy) Gold wine kit makes a soft and approachable red wine with cherry and red berry notes and a smooth, oaky finish and an ABV of 12.5%.

Each kit contains a grape juice concentrate blend pouch, wine yeast sachet, yeast nutrient sachet, acidity regulator sachet, stabiliser sachet, flavouring pouch & finings pouches along with full instructions and produces 6 bottles of great tasting wine at very low cost! 

The SG Wines Gold Range of wine kits simply require the addition of 800g of sugar or 890gm of brewing sugar along with water to make them and will produce wine which is ready to bottle and drink in 7 days.

If you do not have any brewing equipment, you may need:

  • 2 x 5L fermenting buckets (one for brewing, one for transferring/racking)
  • Airlock and bung
  • Plastic Spoon (to stir and degass the brew)
  • Hydrometer (to check that fermentation is complete)
  • Syphon tubing
  • Sterilizing powder
  • Bottles or suitable storage e.g. demijohns
